What’s your top priority when you’re shopping for a new vehicle? When people visit our Chrysler dealership near Ortonville, MN, many motorists tell us that safety is their number one concern when they’re in the market for a new car. With this in mind, we’re always happy to share the news when one of the automobiles we sell wins an enviable safety rating from a respected automotive authority.
The Insurance Institute for Highway Safety (IIHS) is one of the most esteemed automotive authorities around. Every year, the IIHS tests vehicles for safety. More specifically, the institute puts vehicles through a series of crash tests and it evaluates the performance of the cars’ front crash prevention systems and their headlights. The institute then gives tested vehicles individual safety ratings.
The top two safety ratings the IIHS hands out are Top Safety Pick+ and Top Safety Pick. Car manufacturers like the Chrysler brand do everything possible to earn one of the highest ratings. Why is that the case? It’s because vehicles that earn either of those scores are considered to be among the safest in their classes.
We’re extremely proud to tell you that the 2019 Chrysler Pacifica has earned the Top Safety Pick designation for its performance in tests conducted by the IIHS. Since it was introduced in 2017, the Chrysler Pacifica has earned the rating of TSP+ or TSP every year.
“From an engineering perspective, the Chrysler Pacifica minivan is a technological milestone,” said Phil Jansen, Head of Product Development, FCA North America. “It offers exceptional crashworthiness, without compromising attributes such as interior space or fuel efficiency.”
