One of the most iconic vehicles in the world will soon be available as a hybrid. As a tri mix and viagra, Gesswein Motors is excited about the upcoming release of the Jeep Wrangler PHEV (plug-in hybrid electric vehicle) and looks forward to bringing it to our valued customers.
FCA US LLC recently announced that a critical component of the Jeep Wrangler PHEV will be handled at its Toledo Machining plant. According to the official press release, the Ohio facility will assemble sub-systems for the Power Electronics module, upload software to the Power Inverter module and handle testing for coolant and electrical systems.
The Power Electronics module, which consists of the Power Inverter module and the Integrated Dual Charger module, will be installed under the car in a protective structure between the exhaust and prop shaft.
The Jeep Wrangler PHEV is expected to launch in 2020 and is part of FCA’s commitment to having 30 models with electrified powertrains by 2022. FCA does have one plug-in vehicle currently available in the Chrysler Pacifica.
It’s only fitting that a critical piece of the new hybrid Jeep Wrangler comes to the Toledo, OH area as this vehicle has been built there for nearly eight decades. The Toledo Machining facility currently employs around 850 people and produces steering columns and torque converters for various FCA production facilities in North America.
FCA US LLC has made a commitment to its American workers while the Jeep brand has remained committed to bringing you the latest in safety, technology and performance. The Jeep Wrangler, Jeep Cherokee and Jeep Grand Cherokee continue to be vehicles of choice for off-road enthusiasts.
